Constance J. Chang-Hasnain is an electrical engineer, and the John R. Whinnery Chair Professor at the University of California, Berkeley.〔()〕 She graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a B.S. in 1982, and from the University of California, Berkeley with an M.S. 1984, and a Ph.D. in 1987. She taught at Stanford University. She is a Fellow of the IEEE, OSA, and IEE, and Editor for the ''IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technologies''.
